Gwen Seeley-Joosse – Director of Statewide Student Initiatives
Gwen earned her Master of Science degree in Communications from Northwestern University. As the Director of Statewide Student Initiatives at IMSA, she works closely with the faculty, Allies students, and outreach partners to design and deliver unique out-of-school STEM experiences for students. Gwen is looking forward helping students begin to see themselves as future scientists and mathematicians! It appears that Gwen might have a slight obsession with Panera’s Green Goddess Cobb salad because she’s eaten it at least once a week for the past year!
Christine Moskalik – Statewide Student Initiatives Specialist
Christine got her Master’s in Biological Sciences at the University of Cincinnati and is one of the specialists on our Statewide Student Initiatives team. She also works with the Professional Field Services Team at IMSA throughout the year. She loves watching the IMSA Allies students grow as they lead the program participants through various activities that she’s helped develop and can’t wait to watch all of the students engage in the activities. In Christine’s free time, she loves to dabble in photography!
Carolyn Harvey – Statewide Student Initiatives Coordinator
Carolyn earned her Master of Arts in Museum Studies from Western Illinois University after completing her undergraduate studies in Integrative Biology at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Carolyn can’t wait to see all of the “Aha!” moments on our summer participants’ faces as they experience our programs. She has met Penny from the Big Bang Theory—how cool!
Megan Scherer – Statewide Student Initiatives Coordinator
Megan studied Education at St. Louis University, studied abroad in Italy, and went on to teach soon after. She has since moved on to working with marketing, program implementation, and operations with IMSA’s Professional Field Services team. Megan loves the hands-on learning aspect of each of the summer programs and knows the students will too. And if you’re looking for someone to share a laugh with, you can always make Megan’s day with a bad joke!
Dawn Waller – Metro East Field Office Coordinator
Dawn attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale where she earned her Master of Science degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy. Dawn can’t wait to get to know all of the new students and share some stories about life on a farm or her 10 cats!
Rich Busby – Direct of Operations, Professional Field Services
Richard Busby is Director of Operations for IMSA’s Professional Field Services and works to make sure summer program registration and other operational areas run smoothly. His favorite part of summer are the happy students (and staff!) Rich has an M.S. in Instructional Design and Psychology from the University of South Alabama. His random claim to fame: he once met Colin Powell!
Jocelyn Quiles – Administrative Assistant, Professional Field Services
Jocelyn works for IMSA in PFS and enjoys talking and interacting with students. Jocelyn loves anything sparkly or shiny!
